I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms offered a great view of the mountains and wildlife below, they were clean, modern, comfortable, and very spacious. The service was exceptional with a more than plentiful breakfast spread and friendly, attentive staff. Although the location was not ideal being a mile and a half outside of downtown Asheville, it was convenient for the conference and exploring downtown in the evenings. The dining options varied from very good and generous to unsatisfactory, with the processed eggs being a disappointment. The facilities were well-maintained and enjoyable.
The hotel rooms were large, clean, and comfortable, but the cost was as much as a plane ticket to Europe. The service was helpful and personable, although there was an issue with charging $850 to pay cash for a room. The location was great for late arrivals and close to dining options, but the older condition affected cleanliness. The dining included variety but lacked options for hot prepared food. Overall, the hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives for a stay.
